Bonus!! Rather than drive across the continent, take a ride on a piece of history along the Panama Canal Railway. This unique train ride takes you along the east bank of the Canal. Add the train ride from Panama City to Colon for an additional $25 on the day of your trip. We will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the train station in the morning, and meet you on the other side of the continent!
Insider Tips: Take the Train!!! This little piece of recently restored history really is a ‘must do’ activity while visiting Panama City. Many people take the train in the morning and wait all day in Colon for the afternoon train ride back with nothing to do there. By doing the train and the historical forts together, you are getting the most out of your transcontinental experience.
