Sunday: The most incredible thing about Panama City is the history and culture surrounding the city and the canal. For your first full day in Panama, we want to welcome you to our beautiful city and introduce you to all the best Panama City has to offer on this Panama City & Canal Highlight tour
Monday: The adventure begins as we drive across the isthmus to the Caribbean side of the Canal. We will have the opportunity to snorkel in the crystal clear Caribbean waters, visit the Unesco World Heritage Site of Fort Portobelo, and ending our adventure with ziplines in the jungle canopy on the Snorkeling and Zip-Line Caribbean Adventure tour
Tuesday: Our last day in Panama we will take you out to the meet Panama's wild side with an Eco-tour up the Panama Canal to the famous Monkey Island and Lake Gatun. While there we will meet an indigenous Embera Wounaan family living in their Indian village just up the river from Lake Gatun. Finally we are off on our journey to El Valle so we ensure we make it before the sun sets and we can take in the breathtaking views as we decend into El Valle de Anton. (Hotel in Anton).
Wednesday: Discover the amazing Anton Valley and understand why this is the favorite weekend escape for Panamanians living in the city. Spend the morning hiking the taking breathtaking photos of El Valle de Anton, stop at the market for a souvenir, discover the mysteries of the Piedra Pintada (painted rock) ….the morning is up to you and your guide will be able to facilitate any additional activities you wish to do given the amount of time and availability. See El Valle de Anton for a list of options available. After that we are off to the beautiful Pacific coast beaches of Santa Catalina! (hotel in Santa Catalina)
Thursday: Santa Catalina is a small surfing village that boasts good restaurants, an active nightlife, and some of the best beaches on the Pacific. Your day is yours to do what you wish, however we highly recommend opting for a visit to Coiba. The Coiba National Marine Park is referred to as the ‘Poor Man's Galapagos' and is also home to migrating Whale Sharks! If you are interested in snorkeling or diving, a chance to get up close to a whale shark or just want to come along for the boat ride ….then you MUST take advantage of Santa Catalina's proximity to this amazing archipelago of islands of the UNESCO World Heritage site at Coiba.
Friday: We leave the beach in search for the mountains, brisk breezes, and rich coffee in Boquete. This is our longest day of driving, so we will break it up with a short hike and a relaxing dip in the Caldera Hot Springs. We will reach Boquete late in the afternoon where you will have free-time to explore the small mountain town and make plans for which activities you would like to participate in the following day.
Saturday: Boquete is the adventure capital of Panama so there are a million different activities you can choose from for every level of adventurer. Ziplining, Kayaking, White Water Rafting, Biking, Hiking, ATVs, horseback riding and more all within reach, your only problem will be to decide on just one. These are are optional at additional cost, however we can prearrange your tours ahead of time to ensure you don't miss out. You will want to depart to the airport to return to Panama City either this evening or early the next morning to catch your flight back home.
Add on 1: Before joining the rest of the group, arrive a day early and check out San Blas. This is an area of the Caribbean Coast which boasts 365-400 islands (depending on who you ask). It is home to the Kuna Indians, this trip is unlike any other. It gives you the chance to mingle with the Kuna on their coconut-covered islands, enjoy the beaches, learn about Kuna culture, and more.
Add on 2: Want more beach time? Head to Bocas Del Toro where you'll experience a Caribbean vibe and pristine beaches. Maybe you're up for a sailing trip throughout the islands, snorkeling among coral reefs, surfing, or a pick of many other daytrip destinations.
